Wk 9 synthesis work

for our reading work we had to make a controller for the game dart but your fighting underwater against aliens. We had to do this because our story was about a kid who was good are darts and thought of it as just a game.

In class for our reading task we had to make an illustration about a story that we have wrote. I made a picture from my character description about spongebob. it is not that good but it is decent.

Dung beetle (last post)

In class  didn't get to finishing my work so I did it this week because I finished my work this week and yeah here it is. But it is a information web about what helps dung beetles survive.

Dung Beetles(post 2)

Today for my second blog post I had to make a Dung beetle into a super beetle that can take all the poo and survive. I took this and I made something cool and when you look at it you will laugh and then think it is a bit ugly. This was my creating task that I did and there is one more that I have to post.

What's at the bottom of the sea

In reading for our infographic we had to do it on what's at the bottom of the sea. We have do to one of these every week or a story map. This was Really fun seeing all the fish but a bit scary.

What I enjoyed: Looking at all the fish
What was hard: understanding the sentence
What I need to improve: More information

What causes tides

In class every week we have to make either an infographic or a story map. This week we had to make an infographic. An infographic is a thing about something that has writing diagrams labels and all sorts of way to display information. We had to do one on what causes tides.

My shared slideshow

In class at reading we read our passage and then we make a mindmup on it and then comment on each other's work. this is really fun to do and I enjoy it alot. if you want to do this get a couple of people and just make mind maps on something and then share your work and comment what you liked about theirs and something that they can work on.

Amazing Apostrophes

In our class we were learning about apostrophes. We had to watch a video and learn about them ourselves first. Then we had to do some sheets just to see if we learnt anything. This was really fun compared to all the other stuff that we did and I really liked doing this. I suggest that you do something with apostrophes because they are really fun to use.

When we did this we had to read the book reckless and put in how Kane's dad felt when he saw his report and we had to make the comic strips with 5 sections and we  had to use the teacher from our class novel Fish in a tree and the teacher was Mr daniels (if we wanted to we could put in the main character Ally.

My Six work

WALt make predictions by looking for clues and scanning for specific information.

In this blog post there are 2 things one is about how I had to read a story look at some sentences and try and guess what's going to happen next. The other thing is about the ending sentence and how I want to expand it.

We arrive to the party on time, Laughing and noisy. We give Hannah her presents and an enormous card. Hannah takes the card and presents and puts them away but comes in with a frown on her face and the CD in her hands. Then she puts the CD into the player but then goes to the kitchen I go to her and say “are you alright”

She doesn't respond until I hear a little “go away” so I do but then she says she didn’t mean it a cheers up a bit and then I ask “what is wrong”

then she answers “why didn’t you invite me to your house”

Then she answers “I don’t know”

 then hannah gives me a hug and we play everyday happily ever after.   

My Opinion about cross country

WALt make connections with characters in the text.

On this cross country Opinion planner we had to think if we liked cross country or if we didn't I chose I didn't so we had to put an opening sentence 3 reasons why and an ending sentence.

before I did this venn diagram I had to to read to stories one was the cross country and the other was chris. After I read those I had to obviously make my venn diagram. When we did this we had to think of 5 different ways on how the 2 are different and 2 ways on how they are the same.

Maori Languge Week

WALT gather information from different texts last week was M.L.W and we had to learn about maori like the colurs myths and months and other stuff and I chose this piktochart because this was about my third time using piktochart an dreally like trying new things. reflection when I was doing this I was really happy because I just really wanted to learn more about my country and how everyone knows maori in my family but me so I really worked hard on this and it took the hole week just reading about it at home and now I know maori
