T3 Psalms

In class at prayer time Mrs Lee introduced to us something called praying with the Psalms. This is were you the teacher puts a Psalm on the TV and we have to copy one or to verses that really stood out to you. After that she would pick a couple of people to share their verse and why they picked that. All of us enjoyed this and now we had to make this slideshow with all the verses that we put in on our weekly Psalm Doc and make them in to mini Psalms. If you want to do this just get some Psalms and write down what verse or verses stood out to you.

making good choices

WALT identify ideas  to think about when making choices. We had to make this poster on some examples on how to make good choices so then people will know how to. We also had to include some other things 

The good and bad choices of Yaka, Micah and the Old Man

WALT identify ideas  to think about when making choices. We had to watch this video and then put there good and bad choices affected them self and others .

Yaka

Yaka didn’t show Tika, Aroha and Pono. and he didn’t do a good choice by not harvesting on harvest day so that affected the old man cause he’s about to die and himself cause since he didn’t the younger brother (Micah) owns the farm and no halves.

Micah

Micah showed aroha by even tho  yelling at the old man he came back and showed compassion. He showed tika by going and helping and forgiving.  He told the truth by promising to help harvest. He made a good choice by helping harvest and now he owns the farm.

Old man

He showed aroha by helping harvesting instead of forcing the kids to do it. He showed pono by always harvesting on harvest day and he showed tika by still doing the harvesting

WALT pray a decade of the rosary. We had to do one decade of the rosary. we did this because  october is mary's month and this is what we did.

The New Church

This is a story about what I saw at my new church that took one whole year to make so we had to do prizegiving and Hornby Primary.  On Monday we had Prayer Assembly and we had to split it up to Juniors and seniors.

New church

Today I walked into the new church and I saw. That the doors were made fully out of glass and there photos of old priests and new and old bishops but there was no water until you went in and it was a huge bowl, full of holy water. Then later on in the mass Father Paulo,  talked about the mary statue as her name was Mary full of grace and that the St. Bernadette’s and it had to have really good packaging so the paint wouldn’t come off and he talked about how the stations of the cross were, from spain. After on my way out I saw this really big tabernacle, and two projectors  so then one for each side instead, of one big one in the middle so then we leave and I look back at it and I can see this huge red cross on the top like, not the red cross one like a tall tall tall red cross.

we had to make this poster about 4 sacraments. we had to do Confirmation, reconciliation, baptism and  Eucharist (holy communion).
